On April 7, 2025, Ronald Adams Sr., a 63-year-old skilled tradesman and life-long resident of the Bagley Community in Detroit, was killed at the Stellantis Dundee Engine Plant in a horrific industrial incident. Three months later, no one has been held accountable. Stellantis remains silent. The United Auto Workers (UAW) bureaucracy has said virtually nothing. The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) investigation is still “open,” and workers remain in the dark.
But Adams’ death is not an isolated tragedy. It is the outcome of decades of corporate cost-cutting, UAW collaboration with management, and a production-at-all-costs regime that endangers workers every day. Adams’ life and death matter—not just to his family and coworkers, but to every worker who demands the right to a safe and dignified job.
The International Workers Alliance of Rank-and-File Committees has launched an investigation into the death of this respected skilled tradesman, husband, father, and grandfather. This meeting will present the facts uncovered so far. We call on all workers—autoworkers, educators, health care workers, and others—to attend, hear what has been revealed, and come forward with any additional information.
Only by uncovering the real causes of this tragedy can rank-and-file workers take the steps necessary to end the sacrifice of lives to corporate profit.
